Camp Waukeela is an all-girls’ private residential summer camp in New Hampshire. They needed help punching up the writing and organizing content on their website. Camp owners wanted the site to really reflect their mission and the unique experience campers have each summer. They also needed help with optimized blog articles targeting parents searching for the right summer camp for their daughter.

Blog Post: Camp Waukeela is the gift that keeps giving
Gift giving is one of the most cherished traditions of the holiday season. But as children grow, gift giving becomes… a bit more difficult. How do you choose a gift they won’t grow out of, break, or forget as soon as they move onto the next one? Maybe this year, it’s time to ditch the material gift in place of something that will last – a gift they can look forward to, an experience, a lifetime of memories.
Skip the iPhone X, air pods, and clothes, and send the girl or young woman in your life on an adventure. This year, give the gift of a summer at Camp Waukeela.
Blog Post: Gratitude is every day at Waukeela
It’s easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of the holidays. Each year, we carve out time from our busy schedules for cooking, shopping, holiday parties, cleaning the house for family and friends. Yet in all of the running around, we sometimes forget the “why.”
One of our philosophies at Camp Waukeela is building a community of respect – we encourage our campers to build each other up. One way we do that is by showing appreciation for the people and environment that make up our community.
Blog Post: Camp Waukeela raises strong, confident, compassionate girls
Being a little girl is exciting. The world is wide open. She is brave and confident. So full of life and love, compelled and curious. As much as it may break your heart, though, she risks losing some of that seemingly unshakable confidence as she learns and grows.
That is where you approach a parental dilemma. You want to shield your daughter from any toxicity within the culture that might rob her of joy. But you also want to cultivate in her a spirit of adventure, resilience, and compassion as you guide her journey towards young adulthood.
Which begs the question — what is the best way to empower your daughter to cope with the pressures, pitfall, and perils, of being, well, female?
That’s where Camp Waukeela comes in. There are MANY approaches to this challenge, but the camp experience at Waukeela prepares girls for life as independent, thoughtful and self-confident young women.
