Huru International is a New York- and Nairobi-based nonprofit working hard to keep girls in school through the provision of high-quality, locally made reusable menstrual pads in conjunction with comprehensive health education containing essential information on sexual and reproductive health, menstrual health management, HIV prevention, gender-based violence, and life skills.

Huru wanted someone who could really embrace the mission and voice and help the organization increase donations through a consistent social media presence. We created and executed a social media strategy that helped target their unique audiences on three different platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter), including full-service social media fundraising campaigns. In addition, we provided marketing and messaging strategy sessions. Website leads from social media platforms increased sharply during my contract.
